How's your calendar looking for June? If it's wide open, and you fancy a bit of adventure, we might have a gig for you.
Chris Hopkinson is attempting to win the 3000-mile Race Across America (RAAM) in the solo category. It's a big ask and requires full-time support from a dedicated crew, but Hoppo has lost a crew member at the last minute and with departure from Terminal 5 of Heathrow on Friday he's looking to find a replacement. Sharpish.
If you're free from June 7th through till 27th, have a valid passport and are available to come to the US then team leader Martin Cox can promise you the trip of a lifetime. All expenses will be paid, too. You need to be sociable, patient and willing to work hard with very little sleep. It's a 24-hour operation.
Contact Martin via twitter @themartincox or via email martin@teamcox.co.uk for more details.

I’m not very good at fettling, I’ve never managed to successfully change a group set, my tyre changes often go wrong, I never seem to oil the right parts of the bike …

I can’t tell you how much I wish I could do this! Sadly, I doubt my eight-months-pregnant wife would wear it…

Having just been made
Having just been made redundant I have the time, but no passport.
Kicking myself for not renewing it.

Stuff that, pull a sickie tomorrow and get to your regional passport office. Heck, if they’re laying you off, it’s hardly the crime of the century.

Martin, good luck to you and the team – oh and to Hoppo riding it. If I had seen this earlier and had a free diary in June I’d have been there for you, but for both reasons I cant!
Good luck guys!
