As someone who's been nearly mown down more than once on zebras on the Iffley Road, I'm not sure that's quite the panacea suggested.

@mitsky No, because it's nothing to do with 'confusion'. The drivers are deliberately going through on red because it's a left turn, because it's only a cyclist waiting there and because they know the b*****d police will do nothing about it.

@mason 89i I fail to see the connection between discussing cycle routes and the genocide in Gaza being supplied by our Labour government.

That clip showing the drivers going through red when the cyclist light is green... Should the council add a filter/side cover/flap on the right side of the green cycle light to hide it from driver's eye view thus helping prevent confusion?

Here, in Cambridgeshire, there is a plumber trading as Veloplumb; he travels by cargo bike. Zedify does bike deliveries, and the Cambridge Cheese Company delivers by bike. Rapha brevet gloves and Loffi gloves are good indicator gloves.

@mdavidford Fair point. Yes I've done about the same as part of riding 1038 km in 10 days, which did strike me round about day six as being slightly insane, but to be fair and slightly lower my insanity index it wasn't on gravel and I didn't bookend it with three days of qualifying and then racing a Grand Prix motor car.

@Rendel Harris not to mention the "proper job" angle. (Does "possible accountant and enthusiastic Wikipedia editor" count)? IIRC there was a poster here (haven't seen them for ages!) who used to favour that line, possibly following their namesake UK crypto / gold speculator and serial "Nigel Farage Party Ltd" company operator ... er, Nigel Farage. Mr. Farage famously used that line in a feisty address to the EU parliament (who still pay his pension I believe). It was a misguided taunt back then also (according to the BBC - Google "BBC Reality Check: Have MEPs done 'proper jobs'?" to save me posting the link and this likely getting held in moderation).
