Wiggle has updated its retail app to include ‘sneak peaks’ of its upcoming Black Friday offers. Users are also now able to sort the app’s events page by location, date and sport.
BikeBiz reports that users of both the Android and Apple versions of the Wiggle app will get previews of the online retailer’s Black Friday deals 24 hours before items go on sale.
Kate Walder, customer marketing manager at Wiggle, said: “The app is now an important part of the Wiggle landscape, and not just as a shop on the go. It also provides a topical news facility, together with innovative and useful content that provide strong user engagement. We are also constantly looking to improve the app and the new update provides more opportunities for getting our customers to the good stuff quicker as well as rewarding app users.”
As well as being a retailer, Wiggle promotes a number of cycling, triathlon and swim events. The app’s ‘events catalogue’ contains all the details and users can now search easily with results presented in a list or on an interactive map. You are then able to save details of a particular event to your calendar.
Initially launched only on iOS, the Wiggle retail app is now available on Android. It has had over 250,000 unique downloads and now accounts for 17 per cent of the firm’s UK mobile sessions.
