A cyclist in Poland escaped without serious injury following a spectacular head-on crash with a car, according to police.
The male rider enters a lane reserved for buses before - out of shot - illegally crossing double white lines with traffic coming the other way and is hit head-on by the car.
He is catapulted back across the road, fortunately at a point when there is no traffic approaching.
Renata Rusek-Laszczka of Lublin police told tvn24.pl that the cyclist did not sustain any fractures or internal injuries in the incident and returned home afterwards.
The video, captured on CCTV, happened in the city of Lublin and has been released by police as a warning to road users to follow the law, including obeying road signs and markings, with the cyclist in this instance reported for failing to do just that.
