A man in Brazil has been filmed riding his bike across cobbles – with a full-size fridge-freezer perched on his shoulder while he steers his bike one-handed.
The video was posted to Facebook by Luan Paim, who suggested the cyclist may share some genes with the Incredible Hulk.
It's not the first video we’ve seen from the country showing a rider undertaking an unusual balancing act as they pedal – remember the chap who balanced a gas canister and a watermelon on his head?
Nor is it the first time we’ve featured a video of a cyclist riding with a fridge – a few years ago, we covered a chap in Cambridgeshire who had been spotted with one in Cambridgeshire, although in this case it was on his rear rack rather than his shoulder.
Born in Scotland, Simon moved to London aged seven and now lives in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds with his miniature schnauzer, Elodie. He fell in love with cycling one Saturday morning in 1994 while living in Italy when Milan-San Remo went past his front door. A daily cycle commuter in London back before riding to work started to boom, he's been news editor at road.cc since 2009. Handily for work, he speaks French and Italian. He doesn't get to ride his Colnago as often as he'd like, and freely admits he's much more adept at cooking than fettling with bikes.
