An already memorable 2015 for Tour de France champion Chris Froome is coming to an end with further cause for celebration with his wife Michelle giving birth to their first child.
The 30-year-old, who this summer became the first British cyclist to win the Tour de France twice, tweeted a picture of himself with newborn son Kellan on Tuesday evening.

An Irish name, Kellan (depending on which source you consult) can mean slender or powerful – both of which could apply to his father – or descendant of the bright-headed one, another apt description.
On Sunday evening, Froome had been at the Team Sky Christmas Party at its training camp on Mallorca sporting a festive jumper, but he returned to Monaco, where he and his wife live, in time for the birth.
