It’s tiffin time here at road.cc towers (well, fairtrade chocolate shortbread time) so the random number generator has been duly fired up to distribute books and calendars to the masses. Said machine must have been in a particularly benign mood this afternoon, choosing as it has to bestow the prizes upon two road.cc stalwarts: long time member (and sometime blogger) Blackhound and similarly upstanding heavyweight jimmythecuckoo. It’s not a fix, honest – we really do pick at random using a real random number generator and everything…

As you may well have seen on road.cc this week marked the 50th anniversary of the death of cycling legend Fausto Coppi. To mark that we’ve got a very special Schwag grab: two signed copies of William Fotheringham’s acclaimed biography of il campionissimo, Fallen Angel: the passion of Fausto Coppi, a book already acknowledged as probably the definitive english language account of the life of Italy’s greatest bike racer.
