Our car-dominated urban environment is repressive and hot - let's see if we can desecrate the countryside
If this is Burnsall Park then it's a barrier controlled riverside field pay on exit - caption would be "well I haven't got a tenner either"
Someone has already suggested that perhaps it's time for him to give up driving.
Anger over Cornwall Council decision to offload 19 busy car parks
Despite councillors disagreeing, the car parks, many of which are free all or part of the year, will end up in the hands of private enforcement companies using number plate cameras
A bit more background here to West Portholland and a reservoir of driver tears in the comments.
Reform Party and solar panels
comicstoreguy
These car park rogues will contribute nothing to Cornwall. Make them sign a Code of conduct which includes free parking for high street shoppers for two hours and erecting solar panels wherever possible. Vote REFORM on 1st May and get your county back

Even if the guy gets this a lot, it's still worth my being the 940th person to note that it's Cllr De'Ath overseeing a whopping four roads in Cardiff going back to 30 mph
https://www.itv.com/news/wales/2025-03-07/the-roads-going-back-to-30mph-...?
Here is a cracker of a report, with coroner's comments, on the BBC
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cp8l952lgr8o
The title is "Coroner calls for council action after fatal crash".
We start with the statement that
"A coroner has called for better street lighting and signage following a collision that killed two men in Bradford.
Arsalan Khalid Baig and Mohammed Azad Khan, both 24, died after Mr Khan crashed an Audi SQ5 into a wall on a sharp 90-degree bend in Dryden Street, in July 2022."
So, the reader is now thinking that these two innocent law abiding citizens were killed as a result of some kind negligence from the council, in not having adequate lighting and signage on a dangerous road. How terrible, heads must roll, etc....
The next line reveals something else
"An inquest previously heard Mr Khan had been driving at about twice the road's 30mph limit and had cannabis in his system."
Ahaaaa - so we have to now conclude that although the driver was massively speeding whilst impaired through drugs, it is the council's fault because they didn't have enough signs or streetlights?
Absolute madness!
You can't have somewhere to live around here because cars
Devon area 'can't cope with more homes' and at 'breaking point'
The warning came despite more properties being confirmed
The cash will also pay to reintroduce a half-hourly 19 bus service on Saturdays. Cllr Helen Walker (Lib Dem, Bickington) said that the area is “at saturation point” for new housing without major infrastructure investment.
“Our health provision is full, our road network is at breaking point and our sewage system is elderly,” she said

Where's Cycling Mikey when you need him??
Entrapment, innit? I mean, there's a road there then they decide you can't drive there? Buses get in the way of drivers anyway, they're always stopping. And why would they issue all those fines if it wasn't to make money?
Stephen Norman shouldn't be driving if he doesn't know the rules.
I see it at every junction. Light turns amber, first car maybe could have stopped but carries on through second car certainly could have stopped but carries on through, third car put his foot down to make it through before it turns red, fourth car puts his foot down and goes through on red.
The motorist has been waging war on everybody else for 100 years, and they've always won.
One for wtjs
Thanks for the advance warning. The only proper such episode I have experienced in Lancashire, apart from the nutters shouting out the window, was from the close passing driver of BMW PK14 HLW in August 21 who claimed to have 'given me 1.5 metres' and threatened to 'fucking flatten' me and to knock me off my bike, when I caught him up at some road works. It was all on video, but it took over 6 weeks to receive a reply from the police. The officer claimed to have been temporarily transferred to another station! The result was: 'he shouldn't have spoken to you like that'.
Well everyone is concerned for the blond ... 😉
... but yes, it's funny how "cyclists" always promote sudden concerns for others.
https://aseasyasridingabike.wordpress.com/2020/12/09/selective-concern/
As to bus stop bypasses increasing danger - I understand there is legitimate concern but I do wonder if people have ever heard of "side roads" ... ?
At least it wasn't reported as an accident.
Hidden behind a paywall.
Nope - had an urgent appointment with his tax advisor
Those who are parking inconsiderately in Redhouse should be aware that it is an offence to obstruct a junction or park dangerously and this can be enforced by the police
But it won't be
Amen, brother!
Much as the concern for the less than able who "have to drive" when objecting to LTNs but then illegally and immorally parking in blue badge bays because...
Turn your Javascript off.
Sorry to be nit-picking, but it's javascript which has nothing to do with the language Java. The two are commonly confused and it appears that Netscape intended the confusion for marketing purposes when they released javascript.
Sorry, no idea what you are on about.
"a seemingly relentless hatred in the UK for anything motorised."
You wonder how car-brained someone has got to actually write this. Poor little me.
Whilst they are all bad, I'm particularly irked by the driving school one!

Tried to like this and got 'threaded ' comments instead.
The old 'I didn't mean to kill them with my motor vehicle' dodge- never fails!
With the black right above the red I'd say they've snookered themselves.
