"It’s that time of year in North Norfolk when huge flocks of migratory Range Rovers arrive from their overwintering grounds in London. At some key nesting sites like Burnham Market they occupy every inch of space, like kittiwakes on a cliff side. Truly a majestic site to behold"

https://twitter.com/crisortunity/status/1644649141568405511

"Small troop of e-cyclists, their distinctive hi-viz colouration a defensive adaption - these are Range Rovers’ favourite prey. They may think they’re safe to be grazing here but in fact they’re dangerously close to the Holkham colony"

Usual incompetence at the w/e from drivers unable to cope with walkers on minor roads no pavement.

One was a few cm away, others passed at speed, one seemed to think that passing close on our left (we were on the right of the road) was ok because he was overtaking a parked car.

All they had to do was wait 5 - 10 seconds...

... but had to get to the easter egg hunt.

Driver with provisional licence and high on cocaine crashes into roadworks

Why is it no longer safe for high provisional licence holders to go out for a late night drive without the road suddenly opening up and trying to swallow their car [or someone else's that they weren't meant to be driving]?

Woman, 90, stranded in road after hitting pothole orders takeaway to her car

https://metro.co.uk/2023/04/12/woman-90-stranded-after-hitting-pothole-o...

Quote:

A 90-year-old woman who was left stuck after her tyres were blown out by a pothole got hungry and ordered a takeaway to her car.

A kebab shop came to the rescue when Jill Hireson, 61, and her elderly mum Kath Cains found themselves stranded in the village of Bitton, Gloucestershire.

The pair were on their way to lunch yesterday and were already hungry before their car suddenly hit a pothole and its front tyres were blown out.

While they were waiting for AA, Jill decided to get creative and ‘make the most of what could have been a bad situation’.

Ford launches hands-free driving on UK motorways

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-65272929

Quote:

Ministers have approved the "hands-off, eyes-on" technology for use on certain motorways.

It can control steering, acceleration and braking but a camera will monitor a driver's eyes so they stay on the road.

The technology will only be available for 2023 models of its electric Mustang Mach-E SUV at first.

It can also keep a safe distance from other cars and even bring them to a complete stop in traffic jams, although it is only offered on a subscription basis.

The first 90 days are included with the purchase of the £50,830 car but drivers will then have to sign up for a monthly subscription.

Alleged camber issue not obvious in the picture; would it not be easier to close the road all together, rather than have all the broken wing mirrors?

A yellow sticker on each windscreen would have been nice or a night's work for a tow truck even better.

Beach car park still set to charge drivers despite months of delay

why "despite the delay", Mr Editor? The free first 20 minutes just enables the "I've just got to nip in here" mentality.

https://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/councils-beach-car-par...

Headline should be "Drivers enjoy an extra eight months of free parking due to delay" but that wouldn't make them victims...
