OK; I blinked again and the Spring Classics are now in the "Overall season league" with 50 transfers. Did I imagine my observations in my previous post, or was there a glitch. Now I know how people who claim to have seen a UFO feel. I reckon the Ladies Classics has also gone from 45 to 35 transfers in the last 2 hours.
First off, I wanted to say that I like the new Spring Classics idea, ie one comp, limited transfers; makes it more challenging, but way more time consuming.
I've just noticed that it doesn't count towards "Overall season league"; is this true for such an important set of races? Was it meant to be like that?
And I blinked this morning and the number of transfers seems to have changed from 50 to 65; this is a fairly important change as it affects how we are anticipating the timing/number of transfers; I would have thought it would have warranted an email.
Am i right in thinking there is no purist comp - or if there will be it will be later in the year on races that are similar to one another?
Juergen roelandts is not riding
I may go easy on the Astana picks.
stop talking about transfers and scores - the OP said "I thought maybe we should start a new thread dedicated to the race"!
I'm just looking forward to seeing some cycling in Belgium. They are a nice forerunner to the big ones like de Ronde.
Will Mauro Finetto score game points if he rides tomorrow, despite only being found after clicking 'show all riders' ?
If he rides he can score yes
This is taking soooo much more time to research than normal. Spent a couple of hours last night and a few today researching and I've still not got a clue who to pick
A very belgian flavour about my team
Anyone looking for discussion and guidance about fantasy cycling riders and races for Spring Classics, free of trolls and blowhards, should come and read my preview articles on this link.

It's a big fantasy sports site that I write for.
Did I mention that Enrique is helping me out with some killer stats?
Nice job!
Nice read
Oh, the classics... feels like Christmas...
What are the chances of Zico Waeytens being added to the game before Saturday's race?
Zico and Haussler..............................................................................
Will riders from the winners team score 5 points though they're not in the start list?
No, if they dont start that race they wont score
But if they do start they still need to finish, don't they?
no
no
Cheers Backflip was thinking of starting a thread like this myself. I have 75+ unread comments on the blahblahblah thread
Picked team for saturday, prob only make 2 changes for sunday, come the Italy classics may only need 2 or 3 changes More than happy so far (with enough research you'll see a good number of riders are riding most of the big classics so transfers shouldn't be an issue)
Lol, a lot of those comments are by me trying to wind enrique and nix up so you've missed nothing important.
My teams sorted for the 1st race and going on the riders for the next race i only have 1 thats not riding. It all depends on the form after the first race though when it comes to transfers. Really looking forward to it
Well I've got my brothers stag do this weekend! So no transfers between stages for me! Or very drunk transfers at best!
So first up Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, I don't know about anyone else, but the spring classics is confusing enough, but even more so with the Flemish names, I can't even pronounce the race let alone know who to pick for it.
Omloop = punchy types but KBK is proper sprinty so with limited transfers do you stick with punchy types from OHN or do you make sweeping changes .....OR do you split between punchy types and sprinters for both to save transfers
4 transfers per race is quite a lot to play with, it's half your team per race. My 3.0s are slated to start the first few races and will just spend my transfers on the big names that don't appear on one startlist to the next.
