Cracked Frame?
Hi,
Cleaning my bike today I noticed two cracks. I will get my lbs to check them properly but I'm not going to be able to get his done for a couple of weeks so I wondered if anyone had any knowledge of this i.e. are they cracks down to the carbon or cracks in the lacquer.
The first crack is near the top of the down tube, I have tapped around this and there doesn't seem to be any noticeable change in sound, it's still clear and not dull.
The second is on the top of the rear triangle where the seat stays meet the seat tube. I can't check by listening to this area because of the shape of my frame.
From my knowledge of carbon it doesn't tend to crack in straight lines like these but this just might be who the paint has cracked on top.
Any opinions?
