GOt my podium badge out of the way, but not many others in the sprint.
Petacchi... *shakes fist*
Pretty average for me - 1,2,4,7,8 maybe? I think I saw Dehaes and Hurel coming in around 13th/14th as well. Looks like it might be time to get rid of Petacchi...
Hmmm. 3 transfers made for tomorrow. Ventoso and Petacchi you're history!

Just saw them too. They are a lot faster than usual!
1,3,5,6,7,8,19 in my standard with Swift, Matthews, Colbrelli and Chicchi in my purist.
Now then who do i remove for Bouhani ???????????
1,2,3,4,8,11,12,15 plus Matthews in maglia rosa and white
Only Fran Windy let me down from a full house
1,2,3,4,7,8 & 12.
Had planned to leave it as is tomorrow but tempted to swap out Petacchi for Ferrari.
I had planned to leave it for tomorrow but have made 3 changes. Hmmm.
Made a single change - Petacchi out
Got 167 on that stage (and three badges, including Full House) despite 30 penalty points.
How did Kittel get 50 points?... 35 for the win, 5 for PC...
10 for most combative I think
10 for Combativity....
Cue the same complaints as this time last year.
I'm hoping he isn't.
Made 2 changes. Bouhanni and Chicchi. Tempted by Tjallingi but not enough mountain points yet and he's a bit more expensive, which might be a problem later.
Not much in it yet. Lots of people still in contention. 5 and 6 will be the first time teams diverge a bit. High number of points means you don't have to make too many difficult decisions yet.
Wtf happened to Kittel's 10 pts????
Thank you. You're my hero.
Must... resist... I can't! How dare I disappoint? Quite a memory you have...

Amazing... I don't seem to have changed at all (!) in a year
Other than that, for whatever it's worth (next to nothing, I suppose), substitute Stage 2 of the 2014 Giro for Stage 1 of the 2013 Giro, substitute Wurf and Cavendish in 2013 for Tjallingi and Kittel today , and we have a situation with a 'corrupt' race jury that rewards the 'beauty' points of a magnificent sprint over the pure aggressiveness of a breakaway rider. How 'dare' they award the Combativity Award to Kittel after Tjallingi's heroic efforts? What an insult!
I have done this...
Just hoping Wyss does something tomorrow
No shit.
Hey TERa,
I noticed Wyss/Cadel and Bozic/Scarp , finished together from each team.
My guess is it is Wyss and Bozic job to drag Cadel and Scarp along in sprint to stay in touch and not lose any time as they aren't up to Kitts speed. I sold Bozo today.
I feel like we've been together forever...
Who did you chuck in instead of boz?
sold pett as well bought in Ferrari and Ruffoni .
Yeh have to agree that looks to be the case, however the slight split may have meant no chance for Wyss, and keeping Cadel close to the front could still end up in a top 20 finish, but we shall see.
FWIW, it has a defined set of criteria, not just a beauty contest. Take a look at http://www.gazzetta.it/Giroditalia/2014/download/Regolamento_Ing.pdf and look for section I (“FIGHTING SPIRIT”«PITTAROSSO»PRIZE ) in Article 28 (Prizes).
Nothing like the facts to shut me up... Well, there it is... Taking a cursory glance at the criteria I'd have to imagine that unless the break wins the day or there are a ton of KOMs along the way, no one but a sprinter will get the Combativity Award on a sprint stage in the Giro...
How dull... Do we have to be as dull and unimaginative as the Giro here? How about a 'Last Man Caught from the Breakaway' Award of 5 points?
I think I'll write the Giro to see if they'll drop the points for the Finish Line and award more to the Intermediate Sprints and KOMs to make the Combativity Award 'fairer'... I mean the sprinters are hawking all the podium time and podium girl kisses! Why would anyone want to go on a breakaway if Kittel is getting all the kisses at the end of the day? Stupid RCS people...

Not too bad, Ferrari and Appollonio worth the pens, even though I would have preferred Viviani to do better. Might have to bring in Bouhanni tomorrow as I thought!
1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and points for Durbridge.
1,2,3,4,5,7,8 for me
o and you can add 12 for chichi too!
