Here’s Team Sky’s race kit for 2016, the final year that it will be provided by British bike clothing brand Rapha.

The biggest differences from previously in terms of the look are that the jersey now comes with white and blue stripes (or bands, if you prefer) across the chest, and the blue is a new shade.

“The stripes echo Rapha’s Brevet collection and the new shade of blue has been developed by Rapha to maximise visibility for riders in the peloton and fans watching from the roadside or on television,” according to Rapha.

“The updated graphics were born from the Team’s desire to stand out from the peloton whilst retaining the simple, elegant black and blue kit for which they are known.”

There you go, that’s the official line. The new shade of blue will be used across Team Sky’s equipment, including bikes. Speaking of which, here’s the Pinarello Dogma F8 that Team Sky will be riding next year, with graphics that echo those of the clothing.

As someone on FB pointed out,
As someone on FB pointed out, there doesn’t seem to be a Jaguar logo on the kit for next year. Is that another sponsor to have left/be leaving the fold?
