Tom Pidcock celebrated in style as he won the penultimate round of the HSBC UK National Circuit Race Series in Barnsley on Friday evening, with the Team Wiggins rider pulling a one-handed wheelie as he crossed the line.
The 18-year-old from Leeds, who had been unsuccessful in the defence of his national circuit race title a week earlier, took victory after a solo attack early on in the race.
Among those to be impressed by Pidcock’s efforts was team owner, Sir Bradley Wiggins.

In January, Pidcock was named Great Britain Cycling Team rider of the year for 2017 following a season in which he won junior world championships in cyclo-cross and the time trial, as well as Paris-Roubaix Juniors, the under-23 cyclos-cross World Cup, and that national circuit race title.
