A cyclist in China who was hit three times by different cars in a horror crash was told he would face penalties for cycling in the road.
In a video, which can be viewed on the Daily Mirror website, the rider, named Guan, was struck repeatedly by cars in Kunshan, Jiangsu province, China.
The collisions were caught on traffic camera – and one of the drivers who got out to help was also hit.
The rider apparently should have been on the pavement, but instead was in the road, and was hit by a car.
Another struck him from the left and then a third from the right.
Guan was taken to hospital where authorities said his injuries were not life-threatening.
Police said all involved in the crashes will be charged for traffic offences including Guan for pedalling in the middle of the road.

That’s a sickening video. I
That’s a sickening video. I have scant knowledge of China, so unsure what cycling laws are, but to charge someone after such an incident is just wrong.
Sad sad country where they
Sad sad country where they abandonned their bikes and all aspired to get a car.

People earn money, people buy cars. Hardly unique to China.

who do they think they are, America, Britian or whatever…
China has lots of protected
China has lots of protected cycle lanes everywhere. Cycling on the road is a huge no no in the busiest areas. A lot of the network in cities is properly segregated too, with physical barriers. If you break the law in any country you’ll usually get fined for it, whether this guy actually will or not we don’t know. Wouldn’t go all Red Scare over it.
it’s just like my morning
it’s just like my morning ride into work.
I know the cyclist shouldn’t
I know the cyclist shouldn’t have been there in the first place, but what exactly were the drivers of the first two cars looking at? It clearly wasn’t the road – they just drove straight into what should have been clearly visible hazards. Is the smog that bad over there?!
Instant karma for the driver of the first car though.
