We've been talking about team road.cc for ages, and now we're just getting it ready to launch. It's our membership scheme that'll give you access to special offers, discounts, members-only events and first dibs at other stuff too.
One of the things we're going to be doing plenty of is ride-outs around the country, and next Sunday we'll be organising our first one from the Decathlon store in Oxford. road.cc Tech editor Dave Arthur will be leading the ride with Rory from Decathlon. That's Dave up top, there. It's not Oxford though, you're right. Members will get first refusal at these, but this one's open to everyone. So come along!
We'll be meeting at 9am at the store, on the western edge of Oxford. There'll be mechanics on site if your bike needs any attention. At 10am we'll roll out for a medium-paced loop of around 30 miles before heading back to the store for a cup of tea. We'll have plenty of Stay Awesome stickers to hand out too.
The event is free if you want to come along. To register simply visit the eventbrite event page and put your name down. We'd love to see you!

Reckon there might be some
Reckon there might be some Condors up for this. Be nice to meet some fellow road.cc readers. What constitutes a medium pace?

a bit difficult to say for sure, depends on who comes out to play. we won’t leave anyone behind though 😉
Pace is based on the speed
Pace is based on the speed that the website loads over the past week divided by the amount of issues… Currently, the average pace is set at 1mph.
(sorry road.cc!)

we’d be dragging ourselves along by our fingernails if those were the criteria 😉
Dave Atkinson
Ha, I’d happily come along just to be dropped from the pack as retribution for my negative comments, but my ferry is already booked for the IOW Randonee! Looking forward to more of these in the future and happy to help organise in the [s]New Forest[/s] if you need an extra pair of hands with local knowledge once team Road.cc is launched!

For those of us who’ll need
For those of us who’ll need to park and ride, are we ok to park at the store? There’s street parking nearby, so no biggie either way but thought I’d check.
Nearby Seacourt park and ride
Nearby Seacourt park and ride only £2 if we can’t park there.
Really wish I could make it.
Really wish I could make it. Little closer to home (Bath/Bristol) next time?
Enjoy the ride!
Just back from this. Thanks
