The past week has been huge for 32-inch wheel news. Revel unveiled its El Jeffe Grande, and Van Rysel even stepped up to the plate with its controversial wind tunnel-tested ‘aero cross-country’ rig the RCR-XC. But with all of this big-wheeled news flying about, surprisingly, there’s not been much going on for actual wheelsets. Newmen has now changed that with its new Streem G.62 32-inch gravel race wheelset. This is what it’s all about!
Although the Streem G.62 features an all-new wheel size, it borrows a lot of similarities from the ‘regular’-sized – and confusingly- named – Streem G.62 CS. That includes the weight, thanks to the fact that the new wheelset uses Boost hub sizing. The brand claims that this 32-inch wheelset weighs 140g more than the original version.
The move to the Boost hub means that there’s wider flange spacing and, apparently, that delivers a similar level of stiffness, according to Newmen. And if you’re looking for all of the aero gains, these hoops are compatible with that interesting Aero Valve System, which hides the actual valve inside of the rim, to be accessed with a fancy tool.

As for the rim proportions, they’re identical to the Streem G.62 CS. There’s a 27mm internal width and a 45mm external measurement. Then, as the name suggests, the rims are 62mm in depth. While this all offers ‘outstanding’ aerodynamics (Newmen’s words, not mine), we’re told that the wheels can play ball with tyres from 45mm to 50mm wide, although the selection of 32-inch gravel tyres is still relatively slim.
While these wheels are only available for the OEM market at the moment, so you can’t buy a set by itself, there are two models available: the Streem G.62 CS, which is equipped with 21 Vonoa Carbonspeichen spokes, and the Streem G.62, which comes with 24 Sapim CX Ray spokes. Weights for these are claimed to be 1,670g and 1,760g, respectively.
Again, these aren’t available to buy just yet, but the suggestion that they’ll be found on OEM bikes suggests that we might see a big-wheeled gravel race bike from brands like Cube coming very soon.
