Cube says it has shaved 150g from its Litening Aero C:68X road bike for 2027 while also improving aero performance and comfort – all things that we’re very used to hearing from brands launching new models, of course. The Litening Aero C:68X range starts at £4,999, with prices for the SLX and SLT top-end models held at last year’s levels. Overall, we have to say that pricing does look attractive. If you’re looking for value right now, take a good look.

The Litening Aero C:68X is the bike that we first spotted at the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (the ‘Critérium du Dauphiné’ in old money) back in June. Although we could speculate, we knew few details at that stage, but we can tell you more now that Cube has launched its 2027 range. “The frame is lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic than its predecessor,” says Cube. “The frameset alone delivers an aerodynamic saving of 6.2 watts, while comfort has improved 10% thanks to a newly designed carbon seatpost.”

The 6.2-watt saving is said to be achieved at 45km/h (28.0mph). We don’t have figures comparing the Litening Aero C:68X with models from other brands.

“Attention has also been paid to every detail,” says Cube. “The new IC Aero Max carbon cockpit promotes a more aerodynamic riding position while the integrated Natural Fit palm support enhances comfort. In addition, the Litening Aero C:68X now accommodates tyres up to 34mm wide and, for the first time, is also available in a size 62 frame for the 2027 model year.”

Every model in the Litening Aero C:68X range comes fitted with a power meter and Newmen carbon wheelset.

The Litening Aero C:68X Orbit is new, featuring a 13-speed SRAM Red XPLR AXS drivetrain with a single chainring. By doing without a front derailleur, the 1x set-up is said to save weight and improve the aero performance.

The Orbit is the lightest model in the range at a claimed 6.9kg, while the SLT is said to be 7.1kg.

The 2026 Cube Litening AERO C:68X had a steering limitation/stop, but that’s not a feature of the 2027 model.

This top-level Cube Litening Aero C:68X SLT comes with Newmen Streem Aero/Sprint 60/66 Vonoa wheels, Schwalbe Pro One Aero TLR tyres, and a dual-sided 4iiii Precision 3+ powermeter. Although we’re by no means suggesting you should make your bike buying decisions based on spec sheets alone, the price is lower than similarly specced models from rival brands; a lot lower, in some cases.

Cube Attain C:62 SLX looks like a lot of bike for £2,499

The Cube Attain lineup, featuring both aluminium and carbon-framed models, has a more relaxed/endurance-oriented geometry than the Litening Aero C:68X, and the prices are more accessible.

The aluminium Attain models have been updated and now come with hydraulic disc brakes as standard, while the most affordable carbon model in the range is the Attain C:62 Race at £1,999.

The Attain C:62 SLX looks an attractive proposition. It comes with a Shimano 105 Di2 groupset, carbon Newmen Advanced C.38 J wheels and an integrated cockpit. Cube claims a weight of 7.6kg, and you’re looking at £2,499. We’ve not ridden it, but that sounds like a lot of bike for the money.

Nuroad C:62 SLT offers race-ready gravel performance

Cube has also updated its Nuroad gravel/all-road series, which contains both aluminium and C:62 carbon models. It’s a versatile range that covers everything from race-focused builds to models equipped with mudguards and carriers.

Designed for fast gravel riding and racing, the carbon Nuroad C:62 SLT sits at the top of the range, equipped with a SRAM Red XPLR AXS drivetrain, Newmen Streem G.62 Vonoa carbon wheels and Cube’s new integrated IC Aero carbon cockpit. It has a claimed weight of 8kg and a price of £6,499. Again, that sounds like solid value.

Cube expands city e-bike range

If you’re an urban rider looking for an e-bike, you might well be attracted by the new Editor Hybrid 360 FE series, with a 360Wh battery and quiet Bosch hub drive system. Prices start at £1,699.

“Every Editor Hybrid 360 model is supplied in fully equipped (FE) specification,” says Cube. “Lighting, mudguards, a luggage carrier and a kickstand all come as standard. The Pro model also features a low-maintenance Gates belt drive with a singlespeed drivetrain.”

That Cube Editor Hybrid Pro 360 FE is built around an aluminium frame and features a Bosch Hub Line rear wheel hub motor that delivers 45Nm of torque. It’s priced at £1,899.

The Supreme Hybrid C:62 Deluxe adds Cube’s C:62 carbon to the city/trekking Supreme range. It comes in two versions: SLX and SLT.

Cube says, “Both feature a lightweight C:62 carbon Easy Entry frame with an integrated 600 Wh PowerTube battery. They are also equipped with the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, a Gates belt drive and the Bosch Kiox 500 display with the new LED Remote. The SLT adds Enviolo automatic shifting and Bosch eBike ABS. Both models come fully equipped with lighting, mudguards, an integrated luggage carrier, a kickstand and an integrated frame lock.”

The Bosch Performance Line CX motor is said to deliver 100Nm of torque.

The Cube Supreme Hybrid C:62 Deluxe SLT is £4,899.

Cube revamps compact and folding e-bikes for 2027

Both the Compact Hybrid and Fold Hybrid get completely new frames for 2027.

Cube says, “The Fold Hybrid gets a revised folding mechanism and more ergonomic carry handle, making it even easier to fold, carry and store. The Compact Hybrid, meanwhile, is now also available as a Deluxe model with a low-maintenance Gates belt drive.”

The Cube Fold Hybrid Deluxe 540, for example, uses the Bosch Performance Line mid-drive electric bike motor system with a 540 Wh battery. It’s priced at £2,999.
