Our regular Five Cool Things round-up usually shows off the best products we’ve got in for review here at road.cc, but at Christmas we give you the chance to show us your favourite gifts to be in with a shout of bagging an extra present.
From the submissions on our Christmas Day article, on social media and via email, here’s our top five this year. We’ve also tried to track down the same or similar products online, if you want them for yourself or are one of those annoyingly organised types who wants some Christmas gift inspiration for next year (some of them may automatically convert to affiliate links, to be totally transparent). So, without further ado…
Framed and signed Crelan-Corendon Cyclo-Cross Team jersey

If we had to pick an overall winner, it would be this wonderfully unique and obscure present. Our senior news writer and podcast host Ryan Mallon would certainly approve!
No Reply on our forum had this to say about the gift: “This came through a very tenuous link through the company I work for. I had noticed a very small logo on the shirt which linked to the industry I work in. A quiet word with the manager and he fired off an email. Many months went by and he heard nothing, it became a joke that if it ever materialised it could be my Christmas gift. And it finally turned up, with my initial request if it could be signed fulfilled.
“I’m trying to ID the autographs. I’m pretty sure I have Laurens Sweeck, Sanne Cant, Marion Norbert Riberolle, Manon Bakker and Inge Van Der Heiden. I’m wondering if the last one could be Emil Verstrynge.”
100 Climbs tee and socks

mikewood gratefully received a t-shirt and socks to match his 100 Climbs book, the ultimate guide to the most challenging climbs in the UK and beyond from author Simon Warren.

The Road Book, 2025 edition (and a painful backstory)

Steve K said: “My only cycling presents were a pair of socks and the Road Book.
“My anti-cycling present to myself was i slipped down the stairs last night (sober!) and have broken my ankle – so no riding for me for a few weeks.”
Hopefully the bonus gift will kick off a run of good luck for you, Steve!

Airhub tankless air compressor

For the ultimate in home workshop inflation, mark1a has upgraded to a wall-mounted air compressor. As ktache pointed out in the comments, we’re also awarding bonus points for that nifty inner tube dispenser.

Zip bike locks, cleats and a new chain

Tom_77 was the receiver of this no-nonsense haul: a new chain, some SPD cleats, and a pair of Oxford’s Combi Zip Locks for some extra security at the cafe stop.

All the winners have been contacted for a delivery address, and will receive their prizes in the post in January. Thanks for your submissions everyone, and Happy New Year.
