Over the past few years, Rapha has slowly but surely been expanding its mountain bike-specific ranges, and with great success. Now, the brand has added more, but this time, it has introduced a whole new clothing lineup. Dubbed Finale, named after Finale Ligure, it’s designed to cope with the rigours of professional gravity riding, so that’s downhill and enduro to you and me.

Built for ‘full speed riding in high-pressure conditions’, the Finale range is slated to be an evolution of the brand’s original MTB designs with a focus on durability. The new lineup includes four new products: a jersey, shorts, pants, and gloves, all featuring a bolder Rapha logo and each following a more technical aesthetic.
To start with the Trail Finale jersey, it’s brimmed with weather protective features, which makes sense given the ever-changing conditions throughout an enduro weekend. It’s built with a windblock fabric that should keep the wind chill off while at speed, and it’s sorted with splash protection panels. The main body panels are then said to be lighter and more breathable.
Using rider feedback, the jersey features a lower back for extended coverage. Rapha says that its collar has been improved, and the sleeve design has been tweaked to better suit gravity riding.
The Trail Finale Pants and Shorts then build upon the foundations laid by the original Trail Pants and Shorts, and that’s no bad thing as they’re amongst our favourites in their category. The Finale versions get more space around the knees for larger pads, and there’s an all-new waistband and closure system that’s placed on the side of the waistband in a bid to boost comfort.
Cordura fabric is found on the seat area and lower legs to add durability, and both the pants and shorts get hand pockets and zipped side pockets.
Rapha’s new Finale treatment also stretches to gloves. The Trail Finale gloves boast a ‘second skin’ feeling and thanks to a recycled suede palm, plenty of grip in all conditions. The back is made of Cordura, again, for durability.
If you’re in the market for some fresh gravity threads, expect to pay £45 for the Trail Finale Gloves, £130 for the shorts, £180 for the pants, and £110 for the jersey.
