I've used plenty of bikes with in-line adjusters and i've never really had a problem with them. pro riders probably put them through more pain than i do though...
Thanks DC.
Does anyone have any experience of in-line adjusters? I spoke to a friend who was a pro team mechanic and he claims that cable vibration causes in-line adjusters to alter the cable tension.
Thanks for following this up Tony.
According to Jan at Van Nicholas their standard cable adjusters don't fit the Chinook so you will need to fit some in-line ones – and if you're changing the cables that would be an ideal time to do it, or you could take your Chinook along to a good bike shop and get them to do it. Jan reckoned these babies from Jagwire would do the job, but there are plenty of other in-line adjusters out there too.

Hope that helps
Thanks Tony.
Maybe the 'hot' Astraeus you've got stashed behind the door in the Hymer has got some fitted.![3](https://cdn.road.cc/sites/all/modules/contrib/smiley/packs/smilies/3.gif)
Somewhere in my pics from Eurobike I've got a pic of the in-line barrel adjusters on a Van Nicholas, but they could take some time to find. In the meantime I'll email them and ask
