I'm standing by my predictions for reading (http://road.cc/content/forum/3664-football-misery) which look more prescient with every passing day. looking forward to a bit of league one next season
Tried to get tickets for spurs v peterborough today as they were (only!) £25. Sold out though. Anyone know what matches are on tv?
Isn't it Liverpool vs Reading?
Have just seen that, yes it is. Supporting Reading this avo then.
You RRRRZ!
I imagine Tony and I will be watching the same match tomorrow while cheering on opposing sides
Kenwyn Jones, on loan, to Liverpool...
How long will Rafa last?
How are the mighty fallen… I'm talking about Kenwyn now obviously B)
Good point, the focus of that comment will change if spurs do the deed and sign david james
*Bump*
500 mile round trip today for the Ridgeway Derby in the Conference South.
Dorchester were sent packing by a brilliant effort from the Weymouth team.
Could the Terras be on the way back?
Watch out Bath !
Good luck Si, how did you get on with the friendlies?
Cheers Tony.
I cunningly avoided them by walking the GR20 in Corsica instead. I'm in Oxford already, acclimatising to the southern heat before the first match on Saturday.
York City fan here entering the fray; combining cycling and football in the following way: www.bicyclekicks.co.uk
Any fans of other BSP teams out there?
Odd...Im watching spurs v hull city in the final of the beijing cup online through a link on www.justintv.com streaming from an australian tv channel. Random
Hull City can't sign anyone- no one wants to come here, and I can't blame them; I took up cycling to get the hell out of the place!
that's sad news. i used to watch ipswich in the robson years with my dad. i was there when they beat man utd 6-0... happy days
Just heard that Sir Bobby Robson has passed on. One of footballs gentlemen, shame there arent more like him.
rumour has it that reading are going to take adel taarabt on loan next season from spurs, he is very good. Another one dubbed 'the new zidane'
I can now report that Terras have enough players to put a team out.
With the amount of clubs struggling, the FA should hang their heads in shame and the topsy turvy nature of funding.
We have 3 major signings already, Lee Croft, Ben Pringle and the mighty Jake Buxton.
Good enough to take us up to the Prem? Not confident.
the cost of players is nuts at the moment, i mean didier zokora...£10million!? Kevin doyle (no offence dave) £6-7million? Its got way beyond crazy
I am unsure whether to be happy or sad that Liverpool have got Glen Johnson, but paid about 8million too much for him.
Newcastle United away kit design meeting:
Mike Ashley: "Any ideas on the away new kit then?"
Gok-wan: "Yes maybe yellow and yellower stripes....I thought a comedy kit would go well with the style of football and the way the club is run"
Mike Ashley: "Any other suggestions?"
**Silence from all other board members due to being bound and gagged**
Mike Ashley: "Right, yellow it is then....next on the agenda: 'Which unknown South American winger to buy?'"
p.s I'm a Newcastle fan.
Thanks very much tony, a flat (ish) and slightly windy course in Liverpool city centre helped...swim in the albert dock didnt!
Wow, that is 'special' congrats on the PB btw
anybody want to sign a free, ageing, injury prone, short striker...10 years past his best? £90,000 per week or nearest offer...
in fairness who would want to wear that newcastle kit, anyone else seen the new yellow number? Grim. I know its steven taylor in the pic, not owen, but you get the idea.

No worries I'm on it Jimmy - anyone else you're interested in apart from the Terras?
Fringe,
Yes,
Yes if you've got the money or you're lucky,
Yes - Sunday mornings on parks and recs all over this fair land grown men gather to kick lumps out of each other and sometimes the ball + abuse each other and the ref, it's addictive so I'm told.
Fringe,
Yes,
really they shave their legs..blimey. does that help with ball control?
i know nothing about this football stuff.. do they shave their legs? can you play football on the same grass that they do? is there such thing as sportive football..
Fixtures out 3rd July Tony... I will be in Spain so I am relying on you to check it out for me!
