Supportive Evening Standard Piece

I've just seen a letter published in the Evening Standard saying it's time TfL started looking to reduce its support for cycle lanes and better pedestrianisation.  The editor's response was refreshingly positive towards a continued reduction in cars in London.  Caveat, I don't live in London but, pre-Covid, was a fairly regular visitor.

It's never cars that cause congestion is it? It's always something else. But never cars - in their world.

"The changes on Londons roads are harming my business as we deliver to a variety of small businesses across South London. One delivery today took nearly 45 minutes to complete, which is unsustainable "

Why not get an ecargo bike then ?

Unsurprisingly, there were negative comments beneath the reply. Surprisinly, there were only 5. Six months ago it would have been a stream of vitriol.

Times may just be changing.

I agree on the positivity and then I read the comments underneath which were the predictable response.
