I’ve just seen a letter published in the Evening Standard saying it’s time TfL started looking to reduce its support for cycle lanes and better pedestrianisation.  The editor’s response was refreshingly positive towards a continued reduction in cars in London.  Caveat, I don’t live in London but, pre-Covid, was a fairly regular visitor.

Times may just be changing.
