Hi,
I have just bought a new Cannondale CAAD12 frameset, and am sooo confused about the stupid bottom bracket.
My questions and confusiuon are born out of the following:
I have Dura Ace 9000 groupset and dont want to buy cannondales own sisl cranks so,
The frame was supplied with 2 bottom bracket bearings, do i just loctite 609 these into the bb shell? if so do i need to buy any further shims/reducers etc so the cranks fit properly?
If not, the CAAD12 frame has BB30 written underneath, so do i buy a BB30 bracket, and if so do i need to buy any shims/reducers so the cranks fit properly? I read the CAAD12 needs BB30A, so why wouldnt the frame say BB30A instead of just BB30?
If not, do I buy a BB30A bracket from Cbear or Wheels manufacturing, if the wheels one which one as theres a few BB30A for shimano? I have also seen the Wheels spacer kit which looks like it has some cups and spacers, i dont get why they would sell the spacer kit if you can just buy the whole BB from them. Do you buy these if you have a standard BB30 or to add to the bearings i was supplied with. Have also read FSA do some green 24mm reducers that may work.
Far too many conflicting stories around, so trying to get some good info as i fancy sending the frame back and buying a more standarised frame that all of my components fit.
have attached links to show the varuing costs and options
thanks
