Boris bikes strut their stuff on the catwalk

Special design for Barclay’s Cycle Hire bikes to mark London Fashion Week

Boris bikes featuring a special design by fashion designer Jean-Pierre Braganza will be gracing the streets of London from tomorrow.

The special Barclay’s Cycle Hire scheme bikes will be putting in an appearance at Braganza’s catwalk show on the opening day of London Fashion Week tomorrow (Friday 17 September), giving fashionistas a suitably stylish way of travelling from show to show.

The ever-stylish Boris Johnson said, "London is known around the globe for its fashion and transport icons, from Kate Moss to our famous red buses, which can be respectively found on the streets of our city or on the catwalk. I am delighted our newest transport icon, the Barclays cycle hire bicycles, have managed to transcend the world of transport, and due to this fabulous tie up, can now be considered the most stylish accessory to use to get around town – for this and any other season.”
