What? a cycling person complaining about advocating? What's this world coming to?
Carlton's on about Halfords biased survey.. where it suggests number plates for cyclists.. proficentcy tests for cyclists before being let on the roads.. it's defo bad timing.
I know, I was being facetious.
It's hardly a storm - just a clueless bit of PR, or, them nailing their colours to the motons' mast, depending on what you make of it.
It will result in: Daily Mail headlines, but they don't need any excuse.
It will not result in: registration, proficiency tests, etc etc.
The timing isn't great, given the 'urgent review' of cycling crime and punishment, but that isn't the fault of the cretin at Halfords who decided that 2,000 people grunting at a questionnaire was worth some shiny infographics.
That cycling feels in a perilous position is because we have utter bellends like Norman and Grayling in the Ministry of Transport. Save any ire purely for those twats.
I heard a leaf was blown off a tree somewhere.
"He says there's a storm coming."
"I know." -Sarah Connor.
Could it be a big bike retailer has carried out a survey and results say cyclists should have number plates or similar?
New bottom bracket standard, I reckon.
"Some good bits, some truly awful bits. MSM will major on the awful bits. It's going to be a torrid tomorrow."
Is this about the Parliamentary thingy?
