I saw him in the break the other day... love him.
HOLD THE FRONT PAGE!
Just got latest team listing from Tour of Britain and Albert Timmer IS in the Skil Shimano team
They are now seeking bodyguards who can double as bike mechanics
Short notice, but we should get some banners made up to welcome the great man...
Okay, we'll call Matt Rendell… when we get back from Eurobike
Second Gary Imlach's book of his fathers' career. How things have changed in a couple of generations.
I see Albert Timmer isn't in the Skil-Shimano team for the Tour of Britain.
Shame - he may never know how revered he is on these shores
Lovely man, lovely family... he is the nearest to a celeb mate I have.
(Especially now that Boulting and Rendell have ignored my email)...
But no matter, plan B is going into action.
I'm reading Matt Rendell's blazing saddles at the moment. A very witty and entertaining book so I'd look forward to any interview.
As an aside I've also read Gary Imlach's book "My father and other working class heroes" - another great read. I should imagine he'd also be great to interview (though not sure how he'd feel about being 5th choice for a blog interview behind Albert, Phil, Matt & Ned...)
If you like your cycling leavened with some humour, are you aware of the Velocast?
Could be right up your street.
I am not but I will add it to my portfolio
