Planet X self builds?

Has anyone bought one of these? They seem really good value on first glance, especially the London Road ones.

Why do think they're selling them like this? I can't imagine they spend £200 in labour costs putting them together themselves. The only tricky part in building bikes in my experience is getting the gears and brakes working nicely.

They've just fired a third of their work force...maybe they haven't got enough people left to build them up....

Maybe they have a shortage of the finishing parts and it's a way of still getting bikes out the door and doing full builds with the few they have. Probably saves a fair bit as items can just be kept in the packaging they arrived in rather than be unpacked, built, taken down again and then repacked, no need to fine tune anything. No bleeding hydro brakes, no gently fitting seatpost to avoid scratches, no wrapping bar tape.....
