Hertfordshire Police say cyclist who was missing has been found safe

Police in Hertfordshire have confirmd that a man who went missing while cycling on Saturday afternoon has been found safe.

Samuel Gould, aged 32 and from Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, had last been seen at 3pm on Saturday in Bishop's Stortford.

Hertfordshire Constabulary described him as "white, of slim build, around 6ft 1in tall, with short, light brown curly hair and a beard" and said that he was "wearing a blue lycra cycling top and shorts."

Officers issued an appeal on Saturday evening asking anyone who had seen the cyclist or who had information about his whereabouts to contact them.

Shortlyt after 5pm on Sunday afternoon, they tweeted: "Samuel Gould, who had been reported missing from Bishop's Stortford, has been found safe. Many thanks for your assistance with our appeal."
