We saw loads of your faces this #mycyclingweekend. Some sweaty smiles, some grateful grins, and a few faces we're not sure we've got the words to describe. The theme this weekend was 'suffer faces' in solidarity with the poor exhausted pros over in France and our friends at Cycle Surgery have a prize for the individual whose suffer face we enjoyed the most.
Here are our favourites:
Topping the list is Peter Nash's shot of his boy Jack's incredibly pain face on the Orme road race.
Clearly, our search for a winner stopped here. We think we've found the best pain face ever.
So, Peter, you can tell your son that not only have the both of you got a new Lezyne track pump to look forward to using, he's also the holder of road.cc's best pain face ever title!
We had a few close runners-up in this week's #mycyclingweekend competition. Adrian Davies was one of them - here's a shot of him cycling up Cheddar Gorge. The teeth-grinding pain face is something we can all relate to.
Chapeau Adrian!
So far we've seen two grimaces, but pain faces come in all sorts of other shapes and sizes.
For example, check out the questionably named Instagram user billybobbackdooractionvoyeur's face of sheer exhaustion, Twitter user Boardyonabike's face of discomfort, Howard Crompton's teary eyed recovery facce, davidmi24's entertained gasp for air, and Ben Harris's longingly dissatisfied face:
Of course, not all of you are spending your #mycyclingweekends in the red zone. Most of you head out for leisurely rides to see some scenery, get some exercise, and connect with friends and loved ones.
We had more grins than grimaces this #mycyclingweekend. Here they are:
Remember, it's not too late to get involved in the fun. Just upload a photo to Instagram or Twitter, and send it our way by attaching the #mycyclingweekend hashtag to the caption!

You'd need some good wet weather gear for that ride too.
It seems to me that the most likely explanation is that whoever provided that quote fails to grasp the difference between a "public right of way"...
