I've ordered a few things through them and had the usual problems which have been sorted out slower than I'd like. To their credit, after my post yesterday they came good. It's just annoying that it takes three weeks to be told that what you ordered is no longer in stock.
Would be great if they would publish a phone number to sort issues out!
You definitely don't use them if you want stuff quickly but to be fair they explain that themselves. They don't send whatever you've bought until the sale ends and that can last more than a fortnight in some cases- I have got some decent stuff relatively cheaply from them and sometimes it takes so long it is a nice surprise when it arrives because I have forgotten I'd ordered something. Bit pissed at their recent security scare mind you.
Yep. It's even better when you placed the order after a few drinks and totally forgot what it contains, and when arrives, it's like the best present ever as it's always something you want.
And yeah, they make it clear the sale has to end first. You don't use SP if you want stuff in a rush. I still buy most of my gear from them though, and they've dealt well with any queries.
what was that?!
On Easter Sunday some SP customers (me included)got e-mails telling us that due to a security cock-up when they updated the website, some credit card details (which they admit should not have been saved anyway) may or may not have been compromised. They were unable to say for sure, and basically said to keep an eye on our credit cards and bank accounts for dodgy transactions- which is what you want to hear over a bank holiday weekend meaning that a lot of the transactions wouldn't show up until a few days later! They were quite cagey with some of the answers they gave, though they did engage with me on Twitter about it (although only to sell the corporate line on the incident).
ive found their delivery is always slow, but gets there.
Nice one AST1986 thank you
