I'm very happy with my GoPro hero (entry level model). At around £100 there are cheaper options but the versatility of the GoPro worth it the extra in my view.
I use the m10 and that is go pro mount compatible it basically the sj400 in the cube form. Which is the new go pro shape. So go pro have now copied the Chinese.
SJ400 is OK in bright conditions but runtime is short (about 1h 10 min) - so I carry two spare batteries ( front & back) for commuting.
Just bought a Garmin VIRB for £75 from IWOOT. Good reviews, it's not the elite version with it's own GPS and WiFi but you can still overlay your ride data easily when editing if that's your bag. DC Rainmaker rated it highly!
Cheers guys
Polaroid - no.

This is the best resource I've found for independently reviewing a couple of dozen cameras. The Polaroid doesn't do well, plus I've seen other YouTube vids showing it bouncing back and forth on a handlebar mount, even on a smooth road, making the picture unwatchable.
Doubtless there are other sites and videos.
I've been eyeing up one of those Polaroid cubes, but not sure how you would fasten it on to anything as mounts seem quite thin on the ground.
The Muvi K2 NPNG has a comparable spec to a Go Pro (1080p HD) but comes with lots of mounts and accessories at a more affordable price tag.
Techmoan is a nerd on a motorbike who does a very good job of reviewing these sorts of cameras : http://www.techmoan.com/blog/2014/2/3/the-sj4000-action-camera-review.html is his take on the SJCAM SJ4000 - which is the de-facto "poor man's go pro" - he's also got some side by side comparisons against the (then, before they brought out the case-less cheaper model,) low end go-pro.
I've got an SJ4000 and been fairly happy with it - there are definitely times I'd have liked 60fps instead of 30, and when snorkelling with it I'd have liked it to keep a bit more colour as you get more than a couple of meter and a bit below the surface, but not enough to spend hundreds more on a mid to high-end gopro.
I got a Garmin vibe elite cheap off Amazon it's very good. I got a muvi from the same site about a year before the Garmin it was very poor.
Hi I did 2 years ago Polaroid from amazon too. Does the job its Full HD etc
The only downside is that you cant really find many holders and other stuff like go pro has. My advice is if you are looking for only recording your rides and nothing fancy take some alternative for much more less cash.
Interesting Polaroid is mentioned because they have a 'cube' model similar to the new GoPro model just launch. £140 on amazon looks very neat. However a newer model with Wifi connection is about to launch in the US! Sure this will be on our shores soon.
