A little like an ostrich, the DealCatcher has buried his head in the sand today. Not only is it warmer under there, it also means he can pretend summer is still happening.
In that spirit, we're not throwing cold weather gear your way in today's DealCatcher, although if this misery continues, we might have to start prepping you for the frigid onslaught.
Instead, we've got discounts on the two most important bits of kit if you want a comfortable ride: a bike, and a decent pair of bib shorts.
Starting with ProBikeKit's mudguard equipped, slightly autumnal-leaning Kinesis Racelight T2, and finishing with three pairs of bib shorts from Castelli, Gore, and Altura, this week's DealCatcher should get you riding comfortably in the weeks to come.
ProBikeKit
Lightweight, durable, dependable - those are Kenisis' three points of note on their double butted 6061 series aluminium Racelight T2 frame. Their bike is aimed at winter rides, but this isn't your average, slow, boring winter bike. It doesn't a whole lot more than get you through the rubbish winter weather.
Our very own Vecchio Jo reviewed this beauty in December last year and it put to bed his theory that winter bikes were a load of old hoodoo. He used to think not riding your best bike all year round was a waste - this bike changed all that. Read about it here.
Wheelies
Peeking just over the £1000 threshold, this discounted Cannondale SuperSix EVO is quite the bargain.
Dave Arthur gave the Cannondale SuperSix EVO 6 105 - which runs Shimano's 105 groupset where the EVO Rival runs SRAM's RIVAL groupset - a glowing review when he reviewed it last year can.
He called it a stunning ride, for the full £1699 price tag. If you subtract £650 off that price tag and then have a read about what Dave though here you may well be tempted to head over to Wheelies and click 'buy'.
Chain Reaction
Vitus has rolled out the faux titanium paint for their hydro-formed 6066-T6 aluminium alloy Zenium frameset. Getting your hands on a titanium frame for this sort of money would be nigh on impossible, so if you like the shiny lustrous look of titanium, but your wallet's a little short at the moment - this might be the deal for you.
However, the Zenium is far from a titanium knock off. The alloy frameset is lightweight, it can accommodate an internally routed rear break cable, and it looks fantastic, with intrusive graphics kept to a minimum.
Wiggle
The secret to a comfortable ride isn't a multi-million pound seat stay suspension project - although if you're Chris Froome and approaching cobbles at speed that might help. No, the secret is a decent pair of bib shorts.
This is the first of three bib short bargains in this week's DealCatcher.
Dave Arthur reviewed these in August last year and loved them. Read their 9/10 review here.
Hargroves
Altura make great, affordable bib shorts - that's something we've known for a while. While these may not be any more comfortable than your standard pair of Altura bibs, they're a hell of a lot cheaper.
Hargroves have knocked 30% off of these bibs, so they're now even more affordable than they've ever been before.
Leisure Lakes
Finally, Castelli weigh in with their bargain bibs - via Leisure Lakes of course.
These bibs will remain securely in place with the inclusion of a Giro3 leg gripper, and the fantastic Progetto X2air seat pad will keep you riding for much longer than you thought was comfortably possible.
