Vuelta 2015 logoVuelta Stage 13: Nelson Oliveira attacks solo to take the win
Nelson Oliveira of Lampre-Merida has won Stage 13 of the Vuelta after attacking from the break with more than 25 kilometres remaining of today's stage to Tarazona.
It was the 26-year-old's second attempt to get clear of what had been a big breakaway group of some two dozen riders, an earlier sortie with IAM Cycling's Sylvain Chavanel with 40 kilometres remaining getting reeled back in.
His second effort to escape his companions in the break stuck though as the reigning Portuguese national time trial champion rode away to his first Grand Tour stage win.
Julien Simon of Cofirdis pipped Team Sky's Nicolas Roche to second place, exactly a minute behind the stage winner.
The main group finished the 178 kilometre stage from Calatayud almost five minutes down on Oliveira, and Astana's Fabio Aru retaining the race lead.

How did you find the Planet X Titanium frames? You never see reviews of them anywhere, but they look good value.
