Hmmm... Sounds like an interesting story... I'll spread the word to people I know around the area and see what I can find out.
Thanks for the replys , I do have a name and street and postcode as got the seller to send me a pic Sunday which has GPS on it however,....... The police went round Monday and this was the story.
An eBay buyer brought it didn't agree with listing so took it back for refund after which it was stolen from the seller so no bike nothing police can do. Its probably hiding in a shed now.
It's so frustrating to know how close it was or is .
Please do let me know if it's up again on FB as I am not on FB myself.
Saw this for sale when it was in Minsterley a good 4-6 weeks ago - enquired about it but the girl (forgot her name sorry) ignored me when I asked about coming to try it out for size. It was advertised on several facebook groups too (Oswestry for sale and Swap, Welshpool for sale and swap). Haven't seen it for a while though.. will keep an eye out in Oswestry, and let you know if it pops up for sale on FB again..
Can't trust anyone these days!
Can you tell if someone has read ur message if your not friends with them on Facebook?
Do you have any details of the advert where it was for sale? I have family in the area who would happily give them a call and see if it is actually still available and also be willing to go round and check numbers for you if it is...
You've got a documentation of frame number etc including a website noting its stolen with a time stamp of date, which is pretty useful in aid of getting your bike back. Stolen property is still yours regardless of whom its sold onto.
I'd talk with your local police or with someone clued up in regards to the law, after which id be looking into putting an offer in on the bike and popping round to check out the frame numbers. Thieves selling on ebay usually have a stolen bike stored elsewhere and will only have it hanging about for someone to collect. As you said, "no bike, no evidence".
Best of luck getting your beloved steed back, hope all goes smoothly!
