I use a Mont Blanc 4-bike carrier on a tow-bar. Have Used many times and it's pretty good. Would have gone for Thule but they didn't have a native 4-bike carrier. Only a 3+1.
Also used a saris bonus 3 when I didn't have a tow bar. I have used many such carriers and this was the most Impressive. Infinitely adjustable too so should fit any car I would think..
i use saris Bone 3 and it is fantastic so i would assume the gran fondo is equally good!
I have looked online a bit and i am planning to order a gran fondo,go to the store and try it out there...i feel a bit nervous about having a carrier at all really.
But sensibly, something could go wrong with any set up.
Not the very newest shape, this one is a 58-plate
Ah, shame, mine is the newer shape( nowhere near as nice a shape as yours imo). May not fit then, as the makers guide says it doesnt...
I use a Saris Bones 2-bike rack, it fits fine on the Micra (including over the silly little spoiler thing) and it's very solid. Have also used the Saris on a different car to take 2 bikes from London to Italy twice. Rock solid at autobahn speeds, no dramas, all good. Pic attached of middle son using it to take his bike back to university.

That looks interesting...it is not supposed to fit, is your car the newest shape, cant quite tell in pic.
Another for the towbar & Thule club here. Picked my 9400-series rack up via eBay (or was it Gumtree) for peanuts because the seller had 'upgraded' to the 9500-series (no discernible difference in operation)
Good to hear of a carrier in use...experience of ordinary use is the best recomendation imo. I think for me, of that range it would be the hornet that was apotential.
I cannot have a tow bar, that would be my favourite solution but i have a2011 micra DIGs which has a spoiler and no tow bar provision...
I use a Seersucker Talon, It has been great. Had it for 2 years now and while not maintenance free it is easy to use and in my case the only option (mx5).
Its is the adaptability of the Seasucker that make them a winner in my book and the transportability.

I second a tow bar and if you get a detachable one you don't have to live with it all year round. I have a Thule rack, expensive but my bike is safe.
Tried many of the racks which strap on the back window and they are okay if you have one bike and only want to transport a bike on odd occasions
Tow bar, Maxx Raxx, sorted.
Whatever you choose lock the frame to the car somehow!

Fit a tow bar then the world is your oyster
Thanks for link, but they are not suitable. Even tho the link for 5 dr micra throws up a list , when you read the detail thwy are not for my car...
