Video: Madison Genesis at Sunday's Rutland-Melton International CiCLE Classic

Cameras follow British UCI Continental team on one of the UK's top one-day races...

Last Sunday saw the 10th edition of what until last year was the UK's highest ranked one-day race - the Rutland-Melton International CiCLE Classic, described by organisers as a mix of the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix - and cameras were on hand to follow British UCI Continental team Madison Genesis throughout the day.

The race was won by Rapha Condor JLT's Tom Moses, with Tom Scully of Madison Genesis clinching second place and An Post-Sean Kelly's Mark McNally third.

All three had been in a seven-man break that had got away early in the 179km race, with three other riders bridging across as it headed into its closing stages.

The Rutland-Melton International CiCLE Classic is a UCI 1.2 categorised race, and until 2013 was the highest ranked British one-day race on the calendar.

It has since been overtaken by the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic, which made its debut last year with a 1.1 classification and which has been upgraded to 1.HC for this year - one rung below UCI WorldTour level, and putting it on a par with races such as Paris-Tours.

It would have been nice to have known about this before the event. I would have gone as I'm only 30 mins away.
