Wiggins rides next round of Revolution Series on Dec 5th

Following months of speculation, we can reveal that Bradley Wiggins is switching teams.

But before you get too carried away, we should point out it’s for one night only as the Garmin-Slipstream rider returns to the track for the Slicks in the next round of the Revolution Series at the Manchester Velodrome on December 5th.

Lining up alongside Wiggins for the team, which is captained by Craig MacLean, will be German six-day rider Leif Lampater, giving the Slicks a formidable presence in the endurance events on the evening.

Lampater said: “This will be my first Revolution so I’m pretty excited and want to do well for the team. It’s going to be great riding on the same team as Bradley Wiggins, as I’m sure the British crowd will all be cheering for the Slicks!”

This season’s Revolution Series, now running with a team format for the first time got under way earlier this month, as reported on road.cc. And two other big names missing from that event due to World Cup commitments will be back on the track to lead their respective teams – Chris Newton of the Rollers, and Ed Clancy of Tempo.
