Route des Grandes Alpes, 16 August - 23 August 2014
Come and ride this magnificent journey from Thonon les Bains on the shores of Lac Leman to Menton on the Mediterranean. Crossing 16 or so of the most famous and iconic cols in the Alps, this will be a journey to remember.
Cols traversed will include des Gets, de la Colombiere, des Aravis,des Saises, Cormet de Roselend, de l'Iseran, du Telegraphe, du Galibier, d'Izoard, de Vars, de la Cayolle, de Valberg, de la Couillole (or the Vars and de la Bonnette), St Martin, Turini and Castillon. If that's not enough an option on the final day will include the Col d'Eze and a ride into Nice.
The ride is guided and supported with vehicle back up. Price includes 7 nights B and B accommodation, snacks and lunches on 6 riding days, transfer of all extra luggage throughout the trip. You'll need to book your own flight to Geneva where you will be collected, or a taxi waiting to take you to the first nights accommodation, and return flight home from Nice. If you wish to stay in Nice on Saturday 23 August you will have to arrange your own accommodation.

Mon 18 - Ride, Flumet to Val d'Isere, 64 miles
Tues 19 - Ride, Val d'Isere to Valloire, 64 miles
Weds 20 - Ride, Valloire to Vars, 73 miles
Thurs 21 - Ride, Vars to Roure, 89 or 68 miles (optional route)
Friday 22 - Ride, Roure to Menton, 68 miles
Saturday 23 - Optional ride, Monaco, Col d'Eze, Promenade des Anglais, Nice
