VeloCityLight misses Kickstarter target.
Just an update on the VeloCityLight that was crowd funding on Kickstarter. The campaign finished this weekend but sadly failed to make its target:

Initially I thought 'cool!' but like a lot of commentators it did seem like a gimmick to be telling other people what your speed is. Would it really make them behave differently? It still seems like a bit of fun so I hope they get their funding somewhere else.

As far as I can see, the only place anything like that number appears in the source story is in the video, near the end, when they're chatting...

Although we didn't make target, the response has been extremely positive from both cyclists and distributors so the money has been raised and we will be going to production and releasing the VeloCityLight.
Its interesting, although there seemed to be a few naysayers, they were in the minority. The road.cc coverage generated over 20 direct pledges and a whole deluge of positive comments and 'likes'. Thanks guys!
