    Perhaps cyclists should adapt a better mindset where the infrastructure looks better than normal.

    It seems posters, a priori know the cycle lane will be crap.

    As I said, you either end up
    As I said, you either end up on the roundabout with an easy exit or the traffic lights which you may have to wait for them to be red to rejoin.
    If you join from the roundabout end, it is easy to take either path.

    Recreational cyclists not going very quickly.
    I believe the highways recommendation is 18 mph for shared use, although I would consider that too fast (there were no pedestrians around when I was there).

    Traffic lights one end, small
    Traffic lights one end, small roundabout the other, no real reason I can see.
    Also if you use the right hand side, it joins with a cycling route halfway along.

    Well, in the current climate, that may be the best way to reduce risk. You don’t know if they are also in some at risk category.

    The fire engine isn’t stuck, the driver decided not to crush the white car.
    What is the point of the planter if it only blocks one side of the road?
