I like your idea about having bike maintenance for kids

The one thing i’d have in my idea bike store would be, A work stand with most/all the tools your need to stripe a bike down and rebuild, then have someone who knows how to do it all, Then, for a fee, you take your bike in and get help and tips on repairing/changing or setting up the part you need done, but with hands on, so they instruct you how to do it, that way, you can learn how to do it.

YES, it may be that you end up showing someone how to do everything they need to their bike over time and loss out on money you would otherwise have from them dropping their bike in and having it serviced by yourselves like most LBS do

If something like that was available around here it would save my mates looking on youtube for a how to video, then fecking it up and me having to do it anyway for them :B

Nowt to do with your sportive, but i do hope Dave and others see this, I’d like to see some sort of thing implemented for this situation and others

I.e. Get a bit of the forum, where members can hook up for training rides and sportive’s

I dont drive and am a solo rider most of the time as i dont know anyone around this area putting in the miles like i do, So it would be really handy to be able to hook up like you two have done

Deflate, roll it to one side, slide an old cut tube in one side, then roll back and pull it out the other side, then use it to pull the tyre off at one side, then just slide it round to remove, thats if the tyre is tight, else i just use my thumb to work it off the bead

Nibali just lost a sh*t load of time, my LL Sanchez in for Dan Martin didn’t pay off 🙁 but my other one gained me a few points to make up
