7 seconds would suit me fine.
7 seconds would suit me fine. 3 seconds would be scary, plus you’d hardly see them. Thats 33m per second

So 3 second for 100m would be around 74mph 👿

    7 seconds is around 32mph

The current world record 9.58 for Bolt works out at 23.3mph

Thats quicker than I’d do 100m on my bike from a track start I think

Same Alan. I still have 85.2 to spend. The lack of stars has

1, made this race even more boring than the ToB is anyway
2, left everyone will around the same team
3, left the same riders scoring day in day out

    Its a yawn fest 👿

    This will not be to
This will not be to everyone’s taste. But here is what I did.

I regularly climb some of the highest roads in Scotland. 7 of the top 20 are within my cycling range. I used to struggle quite a bit on steep parts.

Once I got to the stage where I could go no more. I climbed off and remembered the part which got me this time. Next time I would try and get further that I had done the last time. Many times later, I was at the stage where I could get over no problem.

Gearing will give you a bit more range. But keeping your pace steady and keep trying to get further every time you do the climb. Eventually you’ll get there. Its more about the rider than it is the bike. I gave myself a little more range with gearing. I was still struggling. Now I can manage just fine. Its mind over body and bike sometimes.

Now I can manage the old Devil’s Elbow up here, its a 33 percenter on my compact 50/34 with a 11/26 on the back. I have tackled it on a 53/39 with 14/24 on the back…..Deadly

Whatever the reasons, just be happy we’re actually getting coverage on a free to air station and not Eurosport or Sky.

I’m glad Sky don’t have it, but watching it online via a “stream” of Eurosport international 😉

Although this is going “old skool” I used to like Gary Imlach and Phil Liggett doing coverage on channel 4 back in the day 😀

    I don’t think the paralympics
I don’t think the paralympics were a factor, Because Hugh was the cycling guy there wasn’t he?

But what didn’t help was having it start while the Vuelta was still on and also having the GP’s in Canada. To me, both higher profile than the ToB. Its a diddy race in the scheme of things. Also with the World Champs starting on Sunday, The day the ToB ends, so anyone tied up with that wouldn’t have taken on the ToB either…..

Rob Hayles was always going to be part of the team. He seems to just follow Team Sky when Wiggo and Cav are both there…..He was part of Eurosports team for TdF 😉

Yup Harmon is the best. I’d go with this for a list

    David Harmon
    Ned Boulting
    Sean Kelly
    Brian Smith

That would be my choice’s. If I had to pick just two its hard because David and Ned are the lead guys with Sean and Brian being more back up for them

Depending on how much it is. Is it new?

I’ve not had one, but they are decent bikes in the Fixie, S/S market. Deep section rims. The only thing is they are flat bars……..Not a fan of them 👿

My top tip. Forget to put a team in for stage 1 then pick the best riders from that stage with your unlimited transfers, worked for me :D

My problem is doubting myself on break guys. I took in SS incase today was his last day. Thought he might hit the break and I left out Kreder :”(

Also, why have I not taken Rowe in for simple points 😕

    It doesn’t get hilly. Thats
It doesn’t get hilly. Thats the problem. Nothing much above 400m, which I could handle. So Cav will be fine for all stages.

As I said yesterday. If he’d won 1 and 2 he could have had all 8.

But as he’s just said. He wants to stay in the rainbow and not the “gold”

I think I read this the other
I think I read this the other day, But i’d like to see…..

Anyone banned for doping, banned for life, but included in the “Hyper Olympics” as I would call it.

Like a Olympics for dopers. Lets see how much can actually be gained by doping. Get all the dopers together and then doper the “nearly” men…..Have a bit of fun with it, Like human guinea pigs. Then see the results on the body. BUT also a very important thing. See how different types of doping can be found in testing.

Use things that all the top guys “might” be using and figure out ways of catching them.

I’d love to see a guy run the 100m in 7 seconds 👿
