Sounds as if a tt bike is out. If you are serious about your triathlons then you need one. But it’s not the bike for the alps or sportives or city cycling.Get an aero road bike and you can mentally knock off the ten minutes or so that the tt bike woukd have saved you after the race.

Definitely not the Gabba in
Definitely not the Gabba in my experience. Sure the pros use it – but on top of the rest of their racing kit – and they’re racing in it. So generating a lot more heat.I got caught out in the rain in September – Gabba & the matching armwarmers. Was shaking so much I had to get shelter in a cafe and rode on from their with a newspaper down my top for extra warmth.
I’d go with something like this – http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-windslam-roubaix-long-sleeve-jersey/?lang=en&curr=GBP&dest=1&kpid=5360565800&sku=5360565800&ci_src=18615224&ci_sku=5360565800uk&utm_source=google&utm_term&utm_campaign=All+Products&utm_medium=base&utm_content=spEfHRUY1_dc%7cpcrid%7c%7cpkw%7c%7cpmt%7c%7cprd%7c5360565800uk
Its more practical than the Rapha Winter Jersey – which is nice and understated – but no good in the rain – and 1/3 of the cost. About the same level of warmth too.

If the peak is low then the road position might give you an unnatural bend in your neck to look up the road. That’s about the only reason not too though.Off road they do make a lot of sense. Completely different riding position.

Doesn’t look that bad from the pictures. Brighter than the vans brake lights alongside ?And whats wrong with lycra anyway ? It’s perfect kit for the job.

I doubt it but you’d have to have a major spill to break a pedal. I’m sure the cheaper ones will be fine.fenix
Never fallen with clipless
Never fallen with clipless pedals at all.By contrast I remember stopping at lights with my toestraps done up and resting on the railings there.
I went to ride off – clearly in too big a gear, hit a grid and toppled sideways…
So clipless are far better than toestraps and cllips !

Check out DC Rainmaker and his reviews of powermeters. He’s ridden with 4 or 5 on the bike and the read outs were very consistent – even Stages.fenix

Who willingly falls off a bike? He could have bust a collar bone or arm. They don’t really care if a bike wins – it’s not serious – it’d just give them another laugh.Trams plus bikes = crashes. As the news from Edinburgh shows.
