I’ve driven up to Birmingham
I’ve driven up to Birmingham to pick up a kebab, so I’ve got this double bill. I struggled a bit to make the video work but it’s worth it – having found his/her way blocked, he appears to drive off, having damaged three lots of other people’s property. Just another day.

if and only if it’s steel,
if and only if it’s steel, you should spring it out to 132.5.
that said and I haven’t done this myself it looks to me on my Shimano 135 mm wheel that the 5mm extra is mainly made up of a cyclindrical spacer on the NDS – it does makes me wonder.
I got the wheel because it’s supposed to be stronger if the flanges are further apart – makes sense – but they’re not, to any noticeable degree.

Aviva telly ad normalises crashing into buildings!
siezed last night by a bout of lock down boredom, I actually saw some live TV. So there’s a cutesy ad with all these cute bunnies, etc in the road and the driver calling up to say she’s crashed into a pet shop. Whatever next!

fencing, lighting reflective
fencing, lighting reflective collars: anything to deflect from drivers’ competence and behaviour. The car-led sub-urbanisation of the New Forest.
There was an Echo report on a hit and run on the Twin Sails bridge in Poole – I’d just got into challenging Mr “ah, but was he wearing the relevant safety equipment?” when the paper turned off commenting and with that, all the comments disappeared. Too much speculation, I guess.
Perhaps it’s time to create a dedicated hit and run thread, maybe start again on this one?

Dangerous drink driver jailed after crashing into house in Poole
the video appears to be his dashcam – right at the end he approaches a roundabout, it looks like he clips a bollard, at which point it ends. Another one for the collection.
