At Spa’s prices, yes, Ti is worth it. The bike is very clear with me on the type of riding it wants to do. It’s my winter bike.
I also built up a 725 Spa Wayfarer, my attempt at riding the gravel craze. I think I’d go the Shimano GRX route if I had my time again there. I find passing through the countryside and village more interesting than gravel which tends to be forest tracks.
There’s a thrill of the chase of selecting components, which I also enjoy. There’s a distinct order in which to build, particularly when you’re not sure what is actually going to work with what, e.g. rim brake drops, mudguards (if using) and wheels. Copper Grease, a torque wrench and presumably carbon assembly compound are also your friends.

Livid Lee slams Alton Towers
Livid Lee slams Alton Towers as car park thief leaves van looking like this
The Alton Towers super-fan (father of nine) pays £1,832-a-year for platinum passes – now he’s £600 out of pocket
“There appear to be blind spots where the cameras don’t cover – but I paid a fee to park there. I’m not having it. I’m not happy spending that kind of money – we spent around £180 inside Alton Towers that day as well as £1,832 on annual platinum passes – so I’m lining their pockets and I intend to take this the whole way.
“The vehicle is classed as a dangerous vehicle now because there’s a big hole in the front of it. I don’t want to claim on my insurance because they’ll have my trousers down and I can’t afford it.

I built a Spa Audax Ti up a few years ago, and several 531 frames in various ways. I was impressed at how well thought through the Ti was in terms of enough clearance for up to 28s, mudguards and short reach rim brakes. I’m pleased with my RSP carbon saddle and Brand X cardon bars.

I remember the first one I used it took me longer to setup with all the authentication, you had to use the voice automated system as a 1st time user to verify details & then bank checks to confirm payment, then I actually needed to park. Versus just stuffing a quid, or tapping a card on a machine to get a ticket. I’m not convinced it’s good progress.Dont get me wrong, some parking apps are a complete PITA, particularly when you set up for the first time. But there’s a difference between that and claiming to be unable to use them at all.

New charges in Herne car park see visitor numbers slump but revenue for Canterbury City Council almost double
Herne and Broomfield Parish Council chairman Carol Davis says the new fees are “ridiculous” and causing huge issues and inconvenience for villagers.
“What the city council doesn’t seem to get is that ours is a community car park and can’t be put in the same bracket as ones in Canterbury, other town centres and on the coast,” she said.
“I am really not surprised the number of people using School Lane has dropped so dramatically because people simply cannot afford it.
“It is having a huge effect on village life and causing great difficulties for so many people.
Same story as with Norfolk, Carol, if you think this is a priority for your area, you have the powers available to you to step in and price it any way you wish:
