Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes…

I just don’t remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it’s irresponsible.

‘A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.

“It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment.” ‘

The woman driver was turning left onto the bridge and totalled the car on the sturdily built end of the barrier which appeared completely undamaged. How is it that so many nut-jobs congregate on one brand? Are they tested before they’re allowed to buy, and barred unless in the bottom quartile for sense and intelligence and top quartile for psychopathy, aggression and narcissism?

crashed so hard, it turned the whole world upside down.

He’s on fire! It doesn’t even take any effort though – some years back I’ve seen a car parked at the end of a steep street slip its handbrake and roll down to the bottom – that was three other cars and the house that it ended up in at the bottom. Nobody hurt remarkably.

    Sorry, no building involved

Sorry, no building involved here, but hitting 17 cars is impressive as is the driving ability: https://twitter.com/davenewworld_2/status/1460257234743611401

Never understood why they still let cars park there as they are always a pita blocking that road, and wouldnt surprise me in the least that someone reversing in to a space hit the wall and weakened it enough so it just collapsed later.

Just came across this. I was

Just came across this. I was impressed with this nugget of local journalism:

“I would have guessed it was coming down the hill and slid and rolled under the trees”, the eyewitness said of the Volkswagen van.

(I was under the impression that eye witnesses would be able to describe what they actually saw).

Just ten seconds. It’s hard to compose and send a text in much less time than that.

    The scene in The Detectorists

The scene in The Detectorists where the mayor asks the club in help finding his chain came to mind when I saw the picture of him in his getup.

To knock both cars 50meters up the road does seem like he saw it pretty much last minute. So how long is “momentary”?

I’ve read this article a couple of times and I think, from reading between the lines, that there are secret self driving van trials taking place in Cornwall and that the machine learning is at the tantruming toddler stage and the van threw itself into the hedge. I can’t see any other explanation given that no driver is mentioned.
