YT Industries has famously faced an incredibly uncertain time over the recent months after it announced that entered self-administration, and that the owner, Markus Flossmann, intended to buy the brand back. That meant that the company has had to close its Mill facilities, and now all of its UK stock is up for auction.

When I say all of it’s stock, I mean all of it, vans and goat heads included. In fact, YT Industries is auctioning everything that sat inside its UK-based Mill.

While there are monstrously cheap deals on bikes costing from £700, up for grabs are signed and framed jerseys, workshop tools, stainless steel workshop drawers and the bulk of the brand’s e-MTB offering.
We’re talking the Decoy SN 29, one of which is at a mere £1,170 at the time of typing this. There are IZZOs starting at £714 and Jeffsy’s starting at £1,110. Then there are the vans, with a long wheelbase, Ford Transit sat at £10k.
There’s also a listing titled ‘large stock of bike components and parts with a total cost value advised to be approximately £170,000’… currently bidding at just over three grand. There are forks, brakes, framesets and loads more from various brands in there, so it looks like someone/someone’s business is going to get a massive bargain unless the bidding starts heading skywards soon.

This is certainly a sad moment as we’ve lost yet another iconic mountain bike brand to industry troubles. But this auction poses an excellent opportunity to bag a cheap bike, but perhaps more excitingly, some awesome memorabilia from a brand that made itself known with its unique and perhaps disruptive approach to marketing.
The auction ends at 3pm on 22 October, and can be found on the Marriott & Co. website.
