As it's coming up to Christmas and we love most of you, this week's sock comp is a bit special... we're going to be picking THREE winners on Thursday morning at 10am, and each one will get one pair of black and one pair of white socks each. Because we're cheapskates usually they get posted 2nd class, but we'll even stretch to 1st this time and get them in the post before midday so you get them in time for the 25th... unless you're unfortunate enough to have a very dishonest postie with a penchant for high quality patterned cycling socks.
So what are you waiting for, simply post a comment below (keep it clean-ish please!) and be in with a chance of waking up on Christmas morning safe in the knowledge that your life is exactly the same as before, but just with two extra pairs of socks in your draw. Your deadline for posting a comment is 9:59 am on Thursday 20th December, and we'll post a comment with the names of all the winners and instructions to claim your prize shortly after the deadline. Arriving at road.cc in 2017 via 220 Triathlon Magazine, Jack dipped his toe in most jobs on the site and over at eBikeTips before being named the new editor of road.cc in 2020, much to his surprise. His cycling life began during his students days, when he cobbled together a few hundred quid off the back of a hard winter selling hats (long story) and bought his first road bike - a Trek 1.1 that was quickly relegated to winter steed, before it was sadly pinched a few years later. Creatively replacing it with a Trek 1.2, Jack mostly rides this bike around local cycle paths nowadays, but when he wants to get the racer out and be competitive his preferred events are time trials, sportives, triathlons and pogo sticking - the latter being another long story.
